About Tableya

Jay:

I started Tableya when I was in school, making things to sell to my friends. I did it so I could support myself. The people admired my products and they are asking me for more and step by step they tried to request for products according to their preference (colour, materials). And then I sometimes make gifts to save money.

I make my own gifts and people like it because they know I put effort in it and it's not something I bought. I feel like I'm more creative everyday and trying to make up new designs.

I put Tableya on Etsy because I want to take it to the next level. I want to sell outside Thailand because it will be a nice plan and I feel like it's making my time worthwhile. At the same time I can come up with something unique and interesting.

Craig:

Since I met Jay in August 2013, hardly a day has passed without him making something. Sometimes it's a homemade roulette wheel for his classes (he's an elementary school teacher) other days it's a decorated soju bottle for plant holder.

For myself, I've never been very artistic but I've always appreciated people who can do things with their hands. I am amazed watching my artistic friends visualize and implement a complex procedure. And, I love to help artists get noticed. It's actually a passion of mine if I think about it.

Workshop:
At this time, we have a few boxes of beads, clasps and whatnot , a small sewing machine, paint brushes, ribbons, string, and stuff that I (Craig) have never even seen before.

We'll see how it goes!
